PDEA arrests alleged top drug pusher in Leyte buy-bust

Government anti-narcotics operatives arrested a suspected drug pusher described by the Philippine Drug Enforement Agency (PDEA) as a high value target in a buy-bust in Baybay City in Leyte.

Initial reports of the PDEA in Region 8 disclosed that John Harris Omega was nabbed at around 3:40 p.m. in Barangay Zone 10 after receiving information from their asset.

Omega has been a subject of numerous complaints in his neighborhood due to his illegal drug-dealing ways.

The suspect was collared by the PDEA men and local police officers while in the act of selling 50 grams of shabu to an undercover agent.

On the same day, anti-narcotics law enforcers arrested drug den operator Precious Gem R. Vilo, and drug den visitors Chael D. Cadayona and Samuel Arrioja and confiscated P88,400 worth of shabu in a buy-bust in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte.

The team immediately dismantled the drug den after the operation. (Chito A. Chavez)
