Manila Bulletin holds Job Fair 2022 on Aug. 12

Manila Bulletin, the nation’s leading newspaper, will hold a job fair on Aug. 12, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Tent City of the Manila Hotel. The job fair aims to support businesses which have already reopened and are now rebuilding their workforces to deliver more products and services to the public. It also wants to help fresh and recent graduates, as well as those who are exploring opportunities other than the ones they are currently pursuing, to land jobs suited best for them. MB Head of External Affairs and Human Resources Barbie Atienza said MB Job Fair 2022 would be serving both prospective employers and employees as the country continues to reel from the limitations posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. “We are in coordination with more than a dozen schools to help us reach out to their graduates and graduating students to come and participate. Meanwhile we are likewise inviting companies from various industries to open their doors and entertain applicants during the job fair for possible placement,” Atienza said. MB Senior Assistant Vice President for Sales Ruben Bulaong said MB has already reached out and invited several companies, especially clients in MB Classified Ads, to come and join in this activity. “We do expect more than a dozen or two of them to participate. We hope to have companies from the hotel, banking, BPO and various industries join the Job Fair,” Bulaong said. This would mean a wide variety of positions, which will be up for grabs during the one-day event. These may include writers, graphic artists, researchers, hotel personnel such as front desk officers, waiters, housekeeping, engineers, bank tellers, encoders and many more. While invitation is open to all, the job fair is strictly by pre-registration in observance of safety protocols. Jobseekers may register by visiting the website mbjobfair.mb.com.ph. After filling up the online information sheet and attaching a soft copy of their resumes, a confirmation will be sent to them with corresponding applicant code and time slot for each of them. Applicants are requested to come in business attire, and are required to bring and present their vaccination card and other pertinent documents, such as SSS, Pag-IBIG, and PhilHealth.
