Las Piñas LGU conducts part 2 of 'Operation Tuli'

The Las Piñas City Health Office (CHO) conducted the second phase of its “Operation Tuli” (circumcision) wherein around 300 youths were given free services.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar said “Operation Tuli” was conducted after barangay health centers were able to encourage minors to avail of the free services of circumcision being offered by the city government.

Aguilar said the free circumcision program is part of the city government’s health services to Las Piñeros.

She said it is very important for young males to undergo circumcision as it is part of good hygiene.

The mayor also encouraged the parents of male minors to coordinate with their respective health centers to avail of the free services being offered by the city government.

Aguilar said the team from the CHO first conducted the free circumcision to around 250 youths on July 13 at the Mayor Vergel “Nene” Aguilar Multi-Purpose Hall inside the Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office (DRRMO) Command Center.

As part of the health protocol, all minors who availed of the free circumcision also underwent antigen tests.

Vice-Mayor April Aguilar said that to date, a total of 550 young boys already availed of the city government’s “Operation Tuli” program.
