No. 1 most wanted person in Western Visayas nabbed in Antique

ILOILO CITY – Police arrested the No. 1 most wanted person in Western Visayas in Caluya, Antique Thursday, August 4.

The Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 identified the suspect as Dennis Salvoza Malacad.

The PRO-6 Regional Intelligence Unit, Antique Police Provincial Office-Intelligence Unit, Caluya Municipal Police Station, Regional Intelligence Unit 6, and Maritime Police-Culasi arrested Malacad in Barangay Sabang around 12:40 p.m.

Malacad, 51, alias “Nognog,” is facing seven counts of rape which occurred between March 2018 to July 2019.

The suspect, also listed as the No. 1 most wanted person in Antique and Caluya, was arrested based on a warrant issued by Judge Fulo Muego of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 13.

Malacad became Western Visayas’ most wanted person after the arrest last July 22 of Joel Caseño Leyble in Iloilo. Leyble is facing cases of attempted murder and three counts of rape.

“We had a new list after the arrest last July 22. There will be a new list after this,” Police Lt. Col. Arnel Solis, PRO-6 spokesperson, said.

Malacad is not eligible for bail.
