The office of House Speaker Martin Romualdez has provided a look inside the wake of former President Fidel V. Ramos (FVR) on Thursday morning, Aug. 4 at Heritage Park in Taguig City.

Romualdez paid his final respects to the late Philippine leader by approaching the urn holding the latter's ashes and saying a silent prayer.

"We mourn the loss of a great leader of our nation who we will be forever indebted for his public service," the speaker wrote on the guest book at the wake, which began Thursday.

Security was tight in the area as President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. was also scheduled to attend the wake that same morning.
