Top drug suspect, cohort nabbed in Pangasinan buy-bust

Government anti-narcotics operatives arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 30, a suspected drug peddler included in the drug watchlist and his companion in a drug bust in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan.

PDEA Region 1 Director Ronald Allan Ricardo said that Charlito Tandoc, who is in the agency’s high-value target roster, and Carla Pascua were arrested at around 8:30 p.m. after receiving a tip from their informants on their whereabouts.

The joint PDEA and Philippine National Police (PNP) teams mapped out an arrest plan and immediately trooped to the location of the two suspects where they were collared.

.The operatives resulted in the confiscation of shabu, a sling bag, a mobile phone and motorcycle.

The suspects face charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as "The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002."

The operation was carried out by the PDEA Pangasinan Provincial Office, PDEA Seaport Interdiction Unit II, Pangasinan Police Provincial Office-Provincial Intelligence Branch (PANG PPO-PIB) and Urdaneta City Police Station. (Chito A. Chavez)
