Noontime heavy rains trigger floods in Taytay

Heavy rains caused gutter-deep to waist-deep floods in some parts of Taytay, Rizal Wednesday noon, Aug. 31.

In a Facebook post, the Taytay Public Information Office (PIO) said some parts of Barangay Dolores, Sta. Ana, San Isidro and San Juan experienced flooding. These four areas are the most prone to flooding in the municipality.

Earlier in the day, Mayor Allan de Leon issued the suspension of classes for pre-school up to high school for both public and private schools following the heavy downpour from around 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The heavy downpour also caused moderate to heavy traffic in the affected areas.
