Joint police operatives find assorted war materials in abandoned CTG camp in Mt. Province
BONTOC, Mt. Province – Joint operatives from different units of the Mt. Province Provincial Police Office discovered an abandoned Communist Terrorist Group camp in Mount Nentingli in Barangay Bagnen Proper, Bauko in this province on Wednesday, Aug. 31.

Col. Rey de Peralta, provincial director of the MPPPO, said joint operatives of the 1st and 2nd Mountain Province Provincial Mobile Force Company, Bauko Municipal Police Station, Provincial and Regional Intelligence Unit and Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Group also found war materials and explosives in the camp.
Col. De Peralta said the operating troops were conducting a major internal security operation when they chanced upon the CTG camp.

The operatives found one homemade shotgun, 18 pcs dynamite, Stick Commercial ‘Nitron EM 1500 Emulsion Explosive,’ 20.5" polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe, 53 pieces compact discs, five pieces assorted DVDs, and one piece 15 Liter Gallon containing gasoline.
Subversive documents, several communication devices, medicine kits and assorted personal belongings were also found.
The operating troops cleared the area with the assistance of EOD personnel and K9 sniffing dog for a possible discovery of other improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
