Cabinet secretaries list priorities on environment, science and technology
Priority projects of the current administration on environment and technology were discussed during the Cabinet meeting presided over by President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Tuesday, Aug. 30, Malacañang said.

Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and Department of Science and Technology (DOST)have briefed the president of their respective plans.
According to Angeles, DOST has laid out plans on the creation of technology-based enterprises, jobs for regional development; food security and resilience; health security; water security and environmental protection; and energy.
The DENR, on the other hand, presented to the President its plan to enhance the natural capital accounting system including the valuation of ecosystem services.
The Environment department also talked about budget realignment and strategic collaboration with other non-government agencies, local government units, private sector, academe and other stakeholders.
It also intends to bolster science and technology in environmental and natural resources management like the Balik-Scientist Program of the DOST.
It will also push for the improvement of sensors, sensor networks and analytics; and the promotion of green and blue jobs in environmental and natural resources management.
Angeles said Marcos also asked the DENR to discuss the country's water security program.
