P782,000 worth of shabu seized from two arrested high-value drug pushers in Bohol

CEBU CITY -- Two persons who were tagged as high-value individuals in the police drug watchlist were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Tagbilaran City, Bohol on Tuesday night, August 2.

Operatives of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit and Tagbilaran City Police Station seized at least 23 packs of suspected shabu from Noe Caballo Abucay, 30, and Maria Victoria Patay Dominise, 24.

The suspects were cornered in Barangay Dampas, Tagbilaran, police said.

The seized illegal drugs were estimated to cost P782,000, said Brig. Gen. Roque Eduardo Vega, chief of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas.

“I commend the operatives for their swift action and the locality of Tagbilaran City for the information provided, which resulted in the arrest of high-value drug suspects in the city,” said Vega.

The two suspects are detained at Tagbilaran City Police Station pending the filing of charges against them, police said.
