Nat'l Youth Commission calls on SK leaders to mobilize youth in 'Brigada Eskwela' 2022

The National Youth Commission (NYC) released an advisory on Wednesday, Aug. 1 encouraging all Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) leaders to mobilize the youth to take part in "Brigada Eskwela" 2022.

This call includes SK leaders in all provinces, cities, municipalities, and barangays nationwide as per NYC.

"Sangguniang Kabataan leaders are hereby expected to coordinate with schools in their communities to assist and help them in creating a conducive and enabling environment for our young learners," said NYC in the statement.

This nationwide act, according to NYC, is also an effort to make "quality basic education accessible to all."

The "Brigada Eskwela" 2022 kicked off on Aug. 1 and will last until Aug. 26 as per the Department of Education (DepEd).

This year's theme is, "Brigada Eskwela:Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik Aral."
