DSWD has 10 undersecretaries, 11 assistant secretaries under Tulfo

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Erwin T. Tulfo led the oath taking of 10 undersecretaries and 11 assistant secretaries at the DSWD Central Office on Tuesday, August 2.

“Iisa lang ang mission natin (We have only one mission), and that is to help,” Tulfo told the newly appointed officials of the DSWD.

He added: “We are charged by the government, by the people to take care of those who cannot take care of themselves.”

The new DSWD undersecretaries are: Jerico Francis Limjoco Javier, Maria Salome Perez Navarro, Marco Magala Bautista, Denise Florence Bernos Bragas, Vilma Batuhan Cabrera, Charles Frederick Torralba Co, Antonio Cid Crisanto Jr., Eduardo Mabasa Punay, Rowena Niña Obron Taduran, and Alan Autencio Tanjusay.

Meanwhile, the new DSWD assistant secretaries are: Arnel Buison Garcia, Ma. Evelyn Bihag Macapobre, Marites Mortel Maristela, Irene Bungao Dumlao, Elaine Falo Fallarcuna, Romel Makalintal Lopez, Florentino Yee Loyola Jr., Gary Roxas Politico, Ivy Grace Sali Rivera, Diana Rose Santiago-Cajipe, and Janus Guerrero Siddayao.

Tulfo also spearheaded the oath taking of 17 directors and executive directors for the different offices, bureaus, units, and services of the DSWD.

They are: Justin Caesar Anthony Duran Batocabe, Wayne Dela Cruz Belizar, Maricel Cruz Deloria, Megan Therese Yamut Manahan, Ma. Ana Tuya Nuguid, Monina Josefina Ho Romualdez, Marlouie Segun Sulima, Karina Antonette Agcaoili Agudo, Andrew Joligon Ambubuyog, Gemma Borja Gabuya, Mona-Liza Orejola Visorde, Christian Joseph Magno Regunay, Rolando Domingo Villacorta, Baldr Hernandez Bringas, and Michael Dumalo Hilario.

The executive directors that were appointed were Janela Marie Vitug Estrada and Angelo Milan Tapales.

Tulfo pointed out that DSWD officials are called for a mission and are instructed to treat people right, particularly the vulnerable and poor sectors.

Furthermore, he said that they are expected to bring about change and make a difference in the lives of every Filipino.
