8 drug suspects fall in buy-bust operations in Taguig, Muntinlupa

Eight persons were arrested and nearly P345,000 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) was seized by the police in three buy-bust operations in Taguig and Muntinlupa on Aug. 2 and 3.

According to Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg, the Taguig police’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) conducted a buy-bust operation on Aug. 2 along Faculty Street in Barangay Sta. Ana, Taguig.

Arrested during the operation were Freddie Madrazo Jr., 41, and Irene Antazo, 44. The police seized 16 plastic sachets containing suspected weighing 15.7 grams with a value of P106,760, and the P300 buy-bust money.

On Ipil-Ipil Street in Barangay Lower Bicutan Taguig on Aug. 2, the SPD’s DEU operatives together with the District Investigation Division and District Mobile Force Battalion conducted a buy-bust operation that led to the arrest of suspect Allan Paglicawan, 44; Ryan Dela Fuente, 37; and Alejandro Patricio Reyes, 37.

The police seized five plastic sachets containing 20 grams of suspected shabu valued at P136,000 and P500 buy-bust money.

In Muntinlupa, the police’s DEU operatives conducted a buy-bust operation at the PNR Site in Barangay Putatan on Aug. 3.

Arrested during the operation were Ronald Natividad, 40; Arwin Villamor, 33; and Erwin Cadalin, 26.

The police confiscated four plastic sachets with 15 grams of suspected shabu valued at P102,000 and P500 buy-bust money.

The police will charge the arrested suspects with violation of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The illegal drugs were turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.

Macaraeg commended the police for their commitment in the fight against illegal drugs and said the SPD will intensify its anti-illegal drug operations to arrest more pushers and users.
