Missing PWD found floating in irrigation canal in Pangasinan

SAN NICOLAS, Pangasinan -- A missing person with disability (PWD) was found dead in an irrigation canal at sitio Alola in Brgy. San Roque on Sunday evening, Aug. 28.

Report from the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office said the victim was identified as Nicomedes Sabinay, alias ‘Nico,’ 29, a resident of Brgy. San Jose, San Nicolas.

Personnel of San Nicolas Police proceeded to the area when a concerned citizen reported an alleged cadaver floating at the irrigation canal.

Police said the cadaver was already bloated and floating.

The cadaver was identified by his father who said he had been missing since August 26, 2022.

Investigation is still going on to determine if he died due to drowning or if there was foul play.
