BACOLOD CITY – A suspected drug pusher was arrested and shabu amounting to P7.5 million was seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Rizal, Silay City, Negros Occidental Sunday, Aug. 28, police said Monday, Aug. 29.

The suspect was identified as Mark Villaran, 36, of Barangay 1, Silay City.
Villaran was arrested after he sold four sachets of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer for P48,000.
More than one kilo of suspected shabu was seized from Villaran, who was a listed high-value individual, police added.
Villaran was nabbed several hours after suspected shabu valued at P13.6 million was recovered from two sisters in Barangay Lantad in Silay City Sunday.
Police Lt. Judesses Catalogo, Negros Occidental police spoksperson, said the two anti-drug operations were not related but they are looking into a possibility that the suspects may have the same source of shabu.
The huge recoveries means that police were able to prevent their distribution to communities, Catalogo added.
