2 moonlighting auto mechanics fall in Nueva Vizcaya buy-bust

SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya – Police have arrested two automobile mechanics moonlighting as drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion North here.

Police Senior Master Sgt. Renzy Yarcia, case officer, identified the suspects as Jay Adrian Benesa, 28, and Byron Candelario, 23, residents of Barangay Quirino, this town.

The duo was arrested after they sold one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer.

Recovered from them were four small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu and the buy-bust money.

Police did not disclose the value of the illegal drugs seized from the suspects.

Police added that the suspects had been engaged in the illegal drugs trade for some time. They have repeat customers and use their proceeds to buy shabu for themselves.

Suspects and pieces of evidence were taken to the Solano police station for documentation and proper disposition.

The operation over the weekend was conducted in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
