Marcos thanks outgoing foreign envoys for promoting good ties with PH
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. expressed his gratitude to the outgoing ambassadors from Turkey and Brunei Darussalam for fostering their respective countries' relationship with the Philippines.

Marcos thanked both envoys in separate Facebook posts this week.
On August 25, the President met the outgoing Turkish Ambassador to the Philippines Artemiz Sümer in Malacañang, where he conferred on her the Order of Sikatuna with the rank of Datu (Grand Cross).
"We are grateful for Ambassador Sümer's efforts to strengthen ties between Türkiye and the Philippines," Marcos said.
"We also wish her well as she completes her tour of duty in the Philippines," he added.
The Order of Sikatuna is the national order of diplomatic merit conferred upon diplomats, officials, and nationals of foreign states who have rendered exceptional and meritorious services in fostering, developing, and strengthening relations between their country and the Philippines.
Meanwhile, the following day, President Marcos met outgoing Brunei Darussalam to the Philippines Hajah Johariah binti Haji Abdul Wahab in Malacañang.
"We are grateful for her contribution to strengthening Brunei Darussalam's excellent relationship with the Philippines. We bid her farewell and wish her safe travels," he wrote.
