Fire hits SSS main building in QC

A fire broke out at the main building of the Social Security System (SSS) along East Avenue, Brgy. Pinyahan, Quezon City early Sunday morning, Aug. 28.

The Bureau of Fire Protection -National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) Public Information Office said the fire was raised to first alarm at around 2:05 a.m.

The BFP said the fire was declared under control at around 3:35 a.m. It was extinguished at around 5:11 a.m.

It said that the incident caused around P700,000 damage to property.

No one was hurt during the incident which was reported to originate at the electrical room on the ground floor of the building.

Arson probers are still investigating the cause of fire.
