Cong Barzaga dangles P100K reward for Dasmariñas traffic enforcer's shooter

Cavite 4th district Rep. Elpidio Barzaga Jr. is offering P100,000 to anybody who can help authorities arrest the motorcycle-riding gunman who shot a traffic enforcer in Dasmariñas City on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 27.

Barzaga made the reward announcement on his Facebook on late Saturday night. He is a former Dasmariñas City mayor.

Barzaga identified the victim as Edgard Quiroga. A closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage shared by the veteran solon showed that Quiroga was talking to another motorist when the unidentified rider sneaked up behind him and shot him in the head.

Quiroga was taken to De La Salle University Medical Center for treatment.

The crime took place in broad daylight.

Barzaga said the identity of the would-be informant would be kept confidential for security reasons.
