Police arrest high value target who yielded marijuana, shabu, unlicensed gun in Dagupan City
DAGUPAN CITY – A high value target yielded one gram of shabu, marijuana leaves and an unlicensed gun as authorities arrested him on the strength of a search warrant on Friday night, Aug. 26, at Sitio Baybay, Brgy. Bacayao Norte in this city.
The suspect was identified as Isabelo Crespo, 38, who was arrested at around 11:25 p.m. on Friday after being under a week-long surveillance.
The raiders found 13 small plastic sachets of shabu inside a green ‘Tic-Tac’ candy case with an estimated weight of one gram; one Cal .38 revolver and nine ammunitions; two small and one big heat sealed plastic sachets containing dried marijuana leaves with an estimated weight of 0.2 grams; eight heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets with shabu placed in a coin purse; and drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, a tricycle driver was also arrested in Oplan Sita in barangay San Juan, San Carlos City on the same day.
Wilfredo De Guzman, 49, of Brgy. Tayambani, was on board a tricycle when he was flagged down but disregarded the personnel who were conducting Oplan Sita.
This prompted the authorities to chase him. Upon apprehension, instead of showing his license, De Guzman accidentally opened up his wallet that contained a piece of heat-sealed plastic sachet that contained shabu.
