CEBU CITY – Police seized packs of suspected shabu valued at P13.6 million from a 32-year-old man in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Biasong, Talisay City, Cebu Friday, Aug. 26.
Police identified the suspect as Albert Conde Guia.
Three 15-year-old boys were also rescued during the operation at 3 p.m. conducted by the Intelligence Unit and Drug Enforcement Unit of the Cebu Provincial Police Office.
Police Major Joey Bicoy, who led the operation, said the minors were used by Guia as runners in his illegal drug transactions.
Guia, a resident of Loon, Bohol, had been moving from one place to another that made him difficult to track down, Bicoy said.
Bicoy said Guia was cornered outside a hotel in Talisay where he had checked in.
He added that Guia is a high-value individual who was listed as priority Top 10 on the regional level of the drug watchlist.
Illegal drugs seized from the suspect weighed around two kilos, police said.
