BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya -- A tricycle driver who had been under surveillance for a week for his alleged drug trade was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Zamora St. Extension, Purok 6, Don Mariano Perez on Friday morning, Aug. 26.
The suspect was identified as Joey Agas, 29, and a resident of Purok 5, Brgy. Magsaysay, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.
A source who requested not to be named because he was not authorized said the suspect had been the subject of discussion among tricycle drivers in the area because of his illegal activities.
Joint operatives of Bayombong Police and 1st Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Mobile Force Company (NVPMFC) conducted an operation after finding out that their target is positive to be involved in drug pushing.
In coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Region 2, the raiding team did push through with its operation which resulted in the arrest of Agas whom they caught in the act of selling one heat sealed plastic containing shabu to one of their agents who acted as buyer.
Aside from the one heat sealed plastic containing shabu the agent bought, the raiders also found four more small heat sealed plastic sachets containing undetermined amount of shabu and a cellular phone.
