P140,000 shabu seized, drug pusher nabbed in Laguna

KAMPO HENERAL PACIANO RIZAL, Sta. Cruz, Laguna – A suspected drug pusher was arrested and P140,000 worth of shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation in Sta. Cruz, this province, Thursday, Aug. 25.

Laguna police chief Police Col. Randy Glenn Silvio identified the suspect as Leovigildo Abustan, 36, of Barangay Biñan, Pagsanjan, Laguna.

The Sta. Cruz Municipal Police Station and the Laguna Drug Enforcement Unit, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) PRO 4-A, arrested the suspect at 1:15 a.m. in Sitio Maligaya, Barangay Pagsawitan.

Found in the suspect’s possession were ten plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with estimated weight of more or less 20.58 grams and street value of P140,000.

Abustan is in the custody of the Sta. Cruz police and faces a criminal case for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002).
