One dead, one wounded in Cavite shooting over unpaid debt

GENERAL MARIANO ALVAREZ, Cavite – An unpaid debt of P1,700 was reportedly the reason behind a shooting incident in Barangay F. Reyes on Aug. 24 that killed one and wounded another.

GMA Municipal Police Station (MPS) identified the suspect as alias Fajad.

The suspect got into a heated argument with victims, Mario R. Napili, 66 years old, and Marlon V. Napili, 35 years old. The latter owed Fajad the money.

During the altercation, the suspect allegedly shot the victims using a short firearm and fled in the direction of San Pedro City, Laguna.

The victims were rushed to the hospital but the older Napili was declared dead on arrival.

The younger victim, on the other hand, is in stable condition after receiving treatment for gunshot wounds.
