FAMOUS: Joshua, Maja and James lead awardees in first Asia's Pinnacle awards

Kapamilya stars Joshua Garcia, Maja Salvador, and James Reid are among the stars who will receive recognition from Asia’s Pinnacle Awards 2022, a newly-found Filipino award-giving body that aims to honor and recognize successful people in the business sector.

During its media launch held recently, the organizers announced that Asia’s Pinnacle Awards Night will be held at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila on Saturday, Oct. 8.

In the Entertainment Category, various celebrities in the showbiz industry will likewise be honored. These are the artists who have been successful with their own personal and professional businesses, head of jury is filmmaker and events director Perry Escaño.


Dr. Ronnel Ybañez, Founder and President of Asia’s Pinnacle Awards said that celebrities play big roles in inspiring future business owners.


“Napakalaking role ng mga kaibigan natin sa entertainment industry na mahimok ang mga kababayan natin na pasukin ang pagne negosyo. Marami sa mga kaibigan natin sa showbiz ay matagumpay din sa business na kanilang pinasok at sila ang best example ng tagumpay sa larangan na ito” Ybañez said.


Other awardees in the entertainment industry include Marvin Agustin (Somo Sam and John and Yoko) as Most Outstanding Chef and Entrepreneur of the Year; Joel Torre (JT Manukan) as Most Outstanding Chicken Inasal Business Owner of the Year; Enchong Dee (Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken) as Most Dedicated and Outstanding Business Restaurant Owner of the Year, etc.

After 10 grueling and exciting weeks of training, classes, and exams, the journey to reach the top has finally ended for the final 12 trainees who made it to the competition’s finale.

In the final episode of Top Class: Rise to P-Pop Stardom held live at the PETA Theater Center in Quezon City, Jascel, Jeff, Lex, Dean, and Gilly are the five trainees that got the highest mark in the biggest and most interactive P-Pop talent reality competition in the country.

As the “Top Class 5”, they will be trained and developed further before they officially debut as a P-Pop boy group with their own name and fandom.In the last episode, the final 12 were divided into two groups.

Group 1 was composed of Dean, RZ, Gilly, Timothy, JC, and Jeff. Group 2 was composed of Joshuel, Jascel, Jai, Lex, Niko, and Roj. Group 1 got to collaborate with P-Pop boy group VXON as they performed “P.S.”

And they also performed their own rendition of Gary Valenciano’s “Hataw Na”. Group 2 got to collaborate with P-Pop boy group 1stOne as they performed “OH”. Their second performance as a group was their own rendition of another Gary Valenciano hit entitled “Sa Yahweh Ang Sayaw”.

The winners will each get P500,000, a three-year management and recording contract with Cornerstone Entertainment and Kumu, an exclusive streaming contract with Kumu, P50,000 worth of gadgets, and an opportunity to debut as the next P-Pop boy group.
