The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Friday, August 26, announced the completion of three road improvement projects in Dingalan, Aurora that will give residents better mobility of goods and easier access to other services.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing reports from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, identified three villages as the recipients of the newly completed road that amounted to P24.62 million: Barangay Matawe, Paltic, and Tanawan.
The 2.06-km lane of local barangay roads were upgraded through concrete paving and other related works conducted from February to July of this year by the DPWH Aurora District Engineering Office (DEO).
“The continuous improvement of roads in Aurora Province will play a crucial role in the development of local economy that will also enhance living conditions of the people,” said OIC-District Engineer Roderick A. Andal.
In Barangay Matawe, line canals and cross drainage were included to the newly concreted five-meter-wide, two-lane road to avoid unwanted flooding on the carriageway during rainy season.
Further, the concreted road near a school in Barangay Tanawan will also benefit the students with the return of in-person classes.
Meanwhile, the road section in Barangay Paltic now serves the most populous neighborhood in the municipality of Dingalan, being considered as the premiere barangay in the northern portion of the town due to its numerous tourist destinations and coastal attractions.
