Security officer dies after being hit by SUV in Cavite

DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite – A security officer died after being hit by a sports utility vehicle (SUV) on Monday, Aug. 22.

The Dasmariñas City Police Station (CPS) identified the victim as Rodolfo T. Mejos, a 52-year-old security officer of a golf and country club.

Mejos was reportedly directing traffic when the speeding SUV hit him.

The victim was rushed to the Dasmariñas City Medical Center for treatment but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

The driver of the SUV has been arrested and is facing charges for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
