ILOILO CITY – Police arrested two drug pushers and seized P1.3-million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Pavia, Iloilo Wednesday, Aug. 24.

The Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 identified the suspects as 34-year-old Jerome Barcarlos Dequiña and 32-year-old Gualberto Cantara Tipawan.
Suspects were arrested after they sold a sachet of shabu worth P11,000 to an undercover policeman.
Police Brig. Gen. Leo Francisco, PRO-6 director, said that Dequiña was tagged as high-value drug suspect while Tipawan was a street-level drug suspect.
“This serves as a warning to all other drug personalities to stop their illegal drug trade. If you continue, you will be next,” Francisco added.
Operatives of the PRO-6 Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) and Pavia Municipal Police Station confiscated total of 200 grams of shabu valued at P1.3 million from the suspects.
They are facing charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
