Discover its natural gems
At Brgy. Caranoche in Santa Catalina lies an eco-tourism spot that features the province’s lush bakhawan or mangrove. The Mangrove Site and Estuary is the link between land and sea and the rainforest that provides a home to different terrestrial organisms, birds, shellfish, and other offshore fishes. Earlier this year, it unveiled a six-story high viewing deck tower, a 750-meter-long boardwalk, and a hanging bridge perfectly for nature strolls or bird watching.

Mingle with monkeys
Troops of monkeys run free in a sanctuary located at Brgy. Obat in Santa Catalina. The Wildlife Monkey Sanctuary is a 300-hectare space that features Long-tailed Macaque monkeys. There, tourists can interact with the primates and even feed them, of course, with the assistance of the reserve’s caretakers.

Feel the thrill of palwa ride
Something a little extreme awaits in Santabucks Eco Adventure Park. This amusement park located along Tanjay–Pamplona Road in Santa Catalina features a lush botanical garden, neat spots for picnics, a giant swing, and two spider webs made of ropes. But its main highlight is its palwa ride. This attraction is the first of its kind in the province as it is crafted using palm fronds. Entrance to the park costs P100 for adults and P50 for kids, while the palwa ride is priced at P50.

Bathe in Twin Falls
Take a dip in the cool waters of the Twin Falls or the Pulangbato Falls at Brgy. Malabo in Valencia, Negros Oriental. One of the falls features a blue lagoon fit for swimming while the other is set on majestic rock formations with sulfur deposits, making the stones appear redish or orange, hence the name. The entrance fee costs P100.

Take a selfie at Sulfur Mountain
Just outside the Pulangbato Falls is the Sulfur Mountain. This land formation constantly emits steam due to the high temperature of Mt. Talinit. You might want to hold your breath for a while as you take your selfie as the steam smells like rotten eggs because of sulfur present in the area.
