Missing Gr. 8 student located in Rosario; says he went out with friends
CAVITE – Authorities located on Wednesday, Aug. 24, the 13-year-old boy reported missing on the day of his first face-to-face classes in Trece Martires on Aug. 23.
Trece Martires City Police Station (CPS) said they found Bobby Quezon Jr. in Rosario, Cavite.
"Isinama ng mga kaibigan niya at 'nung gabi raw, hindi na siya nakauwi dahil naulan... Eh hindi nagpaalam sa pamilya (He went with his friends but could not go home that evening because it was raining hard... He did not ask for permission from his family)," Lt. Col. Jonathan Asnan of Trece Martires CPS told the Manila Bulletin.
Asnan said the Grade 8 student is unharmed.
In a Facebook post, the boy's mother, Joena Quezon, thanked everyone who helped them locate Bobby and prayed for his safety.
On Aug. 23, Joena posted an appeal on Facebook, asking netizens to help them find Bobby, who did not come home from school that day.
CCTV footage from the school showed the 13-year-old boy going out of the school at 12:35 p.m., just ten minutes after he came in and walked around to look for his classroom.
