Drug pusher, P340,000 shabu seized in Laguna buy-bust

KAMPO HENERAL PACIANO RIZAL, Sta. Cruz, Laguna – A suspected drug pusher was arrested and shabu valued at P340,000 was seized in a buy-bust operation in San Pedro City, Laguna Tuesday, Aug. 23.

Newly designated Laguna police director Police Col. Randy Glenn Silvio identified the suspect as Hasim Abdullah, 30, a resident of Barangay Tubigan, Biñan City, Laguna.

Abdullah, considered as a high-value individual, was arrested at 2:16 a.m. at Pacita Complex by the San Pedro City Police Station.

Seized from the suspect were 10 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 50 grams and street value of P340,000.

Abdullah is in the custody of the San Pedro police and the pieces of evidence will be submitted to the Regional Forensic Unit 4-A for laboratory and drug examination.

A criminal case for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article 2, Republic Act 9165, is being prepared against the suspect.
