“‘Pink Venom’ is the ninth track to top Hot Trending Songs, dating to the chart’s launch last October. BLACKPINK is the third group to top the tally, joining BTS (three No. 1s) and SB19 (with ‘Bazinga’),” according to Billboard.

It is BLACKPINK’s first song to top the Hot Trending Songs chart, which is powered by Twitter.

Placing second and third are BLACKPINK member Lisa’s “Lalisa” and “Money” followed by “With You” by Ha Sung-woon and BTS’ Jimin.

BTS’ “Run BTS” is No. 5 while TWICE’s “Talk That Talk” placed sixth.

BTS’ Jin’s “Yours” and “Super Tuna” grabbed the seventh and eighth places followed by “Forever Love” by New Suppasit and Bumkey, and “Bad Decisions” by Benny Blanco, BTS and Snoop Dogg.

The Hot Trending Songs charts “track global music-related trends and conversations in real-time across Twitter, viewable over either the last 24 hours or past seven days. A weekly, 20-position version of the chart, covering activity from Friday through Thursday of each week, posts alongside Billboard‘s other weekly charts on Billboard.com each Tuesday.”

“The charts highlight buzz around new releases, award shows, festival moments, music nostalgia and more. Hot Trending Songs is unique in that it tracks what songs people are talking about, not necessarily what they’re listening to,” according to Billboard.

Earlier, YouTube announced that the “Pink Venom” music video scored 90.4 million views in the first 24 hours of release to place third in the top 10 most viewed music video debuts.
