It looks like the blockbuster sequel of "Maid in Malacañang" is going to push through. Darryl Yap just sent me a screenshot of a text convo he had with Atty. Persida “Percy” Acosta who is the Chief Public Attorney of the Republic of the Philippines and nationwide head of the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO). Yap’s message to Acosta: “Hi Atty. Atty. Acosta replies with a date and time of meeting, but for purposes of privacy, I will not mention it.

Everybody is already excited on what Viva Film’s prized director Darryl will create after "Maid in Malacañang" that has now grossed over P350 million at the box office. Yap previously shared to the media during  their movie presscon at the Manila Hotel that if funding pushes through, he plans a Marcos trilogy, "Maid in Malacañang" being the first installment. “Nung kino-conceive ang ‘Maid in Malacañang,’ it’s actually a ‘MiM,’ ‘MoM,’ and ‘MaM.’ It’s a trilogy. ‘MiM’ is ‘Maid in Malacañang.’ ‘MoM’ is a ‘Martyr or Murderer.’ That ‘Martyr Or Murderer,’ sino ang pumatay sa unang dilawan. And yung ‘MaM,’ ‘Mabuhay aloha Mabuhay.’ It will tackle naman the life of Marcoses away from the Philippines; in Hawaii and when they get back again in the Philippines.”

If you watch the interview of Darryl on YouTube with political vlogger Coach Jarret, the brilliant director gives a sneak preview of the second installment of the Marcos trilogy, which is MOM or ‘Martyr or Murderer”. The movie will feature the Ninoy Aquino slay, “the greatest bintang to the Marcoses is that they had Senator Ninoy (Aquino) killed….It’s one of the heaviest accusations that they ever received - that they have killed Ninoy during that time. I want to present why people should believe that it’s not them… I will start by asking in the film… if  your father died or if your husband dies, there should be a fire in you to solve it…. why is it until now that the wife  is now gone, the son  is also gone, but the justice for the father is not yet given.”

In Stephanie Bernardino’s article in the Manila Bulletin, she writes: “Jerome Ponce might be included in the cast of the second installment of “Maid in Malacañang. Many believe this to be a done deal based simply on Darryl Yap’s recent social media post where he posted a photo of Jerome and wrote, “#MoM Flashback • Young Yellow… Netizens were quick to assume the post a declaration that Jerome will be playing the role of the young Ninoy Aquino in the second installment of the controversial film..Jerome trended on social media recently after he was spotted watching 'Maid In Malacañang.' Note that he is the star of rival film “Katips.”
