COC filing for BSKE starts Oct 6

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has set the filing of the Certificates of Candidacy (COCs) for the December 2022 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) from Oct. 6 to 13,2022.

This was based on the Calendar of Activities for BSKE released by the poll body.

In Resolution No. 10831, the Comelec also set the Election Period from Oct. 6 to Dec. 12, 2022.

As for the Campaign Period, this has been set from Nov. 25 to Dec. 3, 2022.

The last day for all BSKE bets to file their Statements of Contributions and Expenditures, on the other hand, is on Jan. 4, 2023.

On Monday, the Comelec said, their preparations for the BSKE is already at 70 percent.

"More or less we are at 70 percent," Comelec Chairman George Garcia said.

He said the printing of ballots and other election documents will start in September.

By October, Garcia said, they will start shipping the election paraphernalia.
