Biñan City Science and Technology High School adopts blended learning

BIÑAN CITY, Laguna – The city government here officially inaugurated Biñan City Science and Technology High School on the first day of face-to-face classes on Monday, Aug. 22.

The ceremony was led by Mayor Arman Dimaguila, Vice Mayor Gel Alonte, Schools Division Superintendent Edna Faura-Agustin, City Education Officer Dr. Edmil Recibe, and Officer-in-charge-School Head Edward Rivera Manuel.

The local government (LGU) also turned over a mini coaster to the school administration.

In a Facebook post, Dimaguila says the school is focused on honing students for science and technology-related professions, including engineering, medicine, nursing, information technology, and more.

He also emphasized that the city government continues to invest in education in the hopes of rearing future professionals who will advance progress in the city and in the whole country.

The school is the first educational institution in Biñan to specialize in science and technology.

School Partnership Coordinator Arvin Jay Galman told the Manila Bulletin that the school has been operating since academic year 2021-2022 via online learning.

This academic year, however, the school has shifted to blended learning, with students attending on-site classes three times a week.
