Classes in all levels in public, private, gov't offices in Dagupan City suspended on Tuesday, Aug. 23
DAGUPAN CITY -- Mayor Belen T. Fernandez has announced the cancellation of classes in all levels in public and private schools and suspension of work in all government institutions on Tuesday, Aug. 23, due to typhoon ‘Florita’ and high tide.

The mayor made the announcement on Monday night, Aug. 22.
Fernandez cited the persistent inundation of all major thoroughfares and low-lying areas in the city brought about by high tide, which is likely because of heavy rains typhoon Florita might bring.
The mayor, however, said that agencies and departments rendering essential and vital services, particularly those directly involved in disaster risk reduction and management, shall maintain the operations of their respective offices.
PAGASA (Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration) said on Tuesday, Aug. 23, ‘heavy to intense with at times torrential rains over Cagayan, Isabela, Batanes, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Ilocos Region’ are expected.
It will be moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Aurora, Zambales, and Bataan. Light to moderate with at times heavy rains over the rest of Cagayan Valley and the rest of Central Luzon.
