CAMP MARCELO A ADDURU, TUGUEGARAO CITY- The entire police force of Police Regional Office 2 is now on full alert status Monday night, Aug. 22, in preparation for any eventualities that typhoon ‘Florita’ might bring in the communities in the event it makes a landfall in the next few hours.

According to the latest weather forecast, typhoon ‘Florita’ is expected to landfall in the early hours of Tuesday, Aug. 23, in the East Coast of Cagayan and Northern Isabela area.
Police Brigadier General Steve Ludan has ordered all Unit Commanders to ensure that all Search and Rescue personnel and equipment are on standby alert and ready for possible deployment as the need arises.
He likewise urged all Cagayan Valley cops to remain vigilant and strengthen coordination with the Local Government Units, particularly with the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office within their respective area of responsibilities.

“I would like to appeal to the public to always monitor and remain on alert and give their full-cooperation to the authorities for their own safety,” PBGen Ludan said.
Ludan has already activated the PRO2 Disaster Incident Management Task Group which will monitor an enhanced plan of action of the police force on disaster preparedness and response management in support to other concerned agencies.
The Regional Standby Support Force is also on standby alert and ready for possible deployment in the different municipalities and evacuation centers.
