SPD chief inspects Taguig schools for opening of classes

Southern Police District (SPD) director Col. Kirby John Kraft inspected two schools in Taguig to ensure readiness for the opening of classes on Aug. 22.

Kraft went to the C.P Sta. Teresa Elementary School and Upper Bicutan Elementary School in Taguig City on Aug. 20 in line with the order of Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo, acting director of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on preparedness of the police for “Balik Eskwela 2022.”

He appealed to parents and students to observe minimum health protocols when coming in and out of schools amid the current Covid-19 situation in the country.

Kraft also reminded SPD personnel deployed in schools and places of convergence that safety and security of the public is the police’s top priority.

"Ang ginagawa nating pag-inspek sa mga schools at Simulation Exercises (SIMEX) ay ilan lamang sa mga aksyon upang ating masiguro ang peace and order, public safety, sa lahat ng mga paaralan, places of convergence, transportasyon, mga hubs dahil inaasahan nating dadagsa ang mga tao sa mga pampublikong lalo na ngayong August 22, ang nationwide opening ng face-to-face classes. Ang inyo pong seguridad ang aming babantayan sa banta ng droga, krimen at terorismo (The inspection we are doing in schools and Simulation Exercises are among our actions to ensure peace and order, public safety in all schools, places of convergence, transportation, hubs because we expect many people to be in public places especially on Aug. 22, the nationwide opening of face-to-face classes. We will guard your security amid the threat of illegal drugs, crimes and terrorism),” he said.
