Lucena honors top taxpayers

The Lucena city government honored top taxpayers at the 61st Araw ng Lucena celebration at the Queen Margarette Hotel in Lucena Saturday, Aug. 20.

Among those honored were affiliates and tenants of SM City Lucena – Jollibee, Ace Hardware, SM Appliance Center, SM Store, and SM Supermarket.

SM City Lucena executives Maricel Alquiros and John Jason Terrenal received the awards.

Business establishments in Lucena are essential in economic development because taxes are the lifeblood of the city government in providing basic services and economic programs.

Their taxes make the city economically competitive with other highly commercialized cities in the country.
