Parañaque Mayor Olivarez supports anti-drug curriculum in schools

Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez announced his full support to the implementation of anti-drug abuse curriculum in schools in the city.

Olivarez said the Free World Foundation and the Tambo National High School signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Aug. 18 aiming to include the implementation of anti-drug education in schools.

The mayor, an educator himself, said the MOU is a big help to the Parañaque Anti-Drug Abuse Office (PADAO) in educating students on the bad effects and danger of becoming hooked to drugs.

Olivarez also said the School Division of Parañaque led by Superintendent Evangeline Ladines conducted a seminar, together with barangay officials, at the Parañaque National High School to address stakeholders’ concerns on the full face-to face classes that will start on Nov. 2.

Olivarez also said the city government will also continue to upgrade the electrical and water systems in the public schools in the city, which is very much needed by students and teachers during the conduct of classes.
