Garcia calls on Comelec workers to unite, serve Filipinos well

Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner George Garcia reminded the poll body's workers to continue serving the public with dedication.

"I am calling for unity in performance of our duty. Service to the nation is never a mistake. It is of the highest honor," said Garcia in a statement on Saturday, Aug. 20.

"I encourage the Comelec employees to always be united and dedicated in our service to the nation," he added.

Garcia also expressed his gratitude to the Comelec's workers for their "above par performance" during the recent May 2022 national and local elections.

"Sobrang pasasalamat ko sa inyong lahat dahil hindi magiging successful ang 2022 elections kung hindi dahil sa inyong lahat. 'Yan po ang katotohanan (I am very grateful to all of you because the 2022 elections will not be successful if not for all of you. That is the truth)," he said.
