A drug suspect was arrested by anti-narcotics authorities after he allegedly yielded P340,000 worth of cryztal meth or "shabu" in a buy-bust operation in Javier, Leyte on Monday, August 1.

In its initial report, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Eastern Visayas said that Jorly Tisado Lonqias, who is listed in the region’s high value target roster, was collared at around 4:18 p.m. in Barangay Picas.
Lonqias has been the subject of numerous complaints in the community for his illegal drug activities, the PDEA said.
The law enforcers immediately pounced on Lonquias after an undercover agent received 50 grams of shabu in exchange for cash that completed the buy-bust operation, the PDEA noted.
Lonqias faces charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’
