Lady solon reveals how Sandro helped House rookies prep for daunting budget season

Budget season in the House of Representatives can be a very nerve-racking experience for first-time congressmen.

Luckily for neophytes in the current 19th Congress, there are those like Senior Deputy Majority Leader and Ilocos Norte 1st district Rep. Sandro Marcos who is willing to take time to guide his fellow rookies on the upcoming budget task.

Puwersa ng Bayang Atleta (PBA) Party-list Rep. Migs Nograles confirmed this, even as she attested to the industrious nature of the presidential son.

"As a fellow neophyte like Cong Marcos no, I can really say that he is really hardworking and even with the fellow neophytes he has been guiding us," Nograles said during a recent news forum.

"Him together with Senior Deputy Minority Leader Daza actually organized a seminar for the neophytes on how the budget process will work before we buckle down the budget season to help us be familiar with the entire process," she said.

Although a first-time congressman like Nograles, Marcos has at least had the benefit of working as part of the staff of then-Majority Leader Martin Romualdez during the previous 18th Congress. The majority leader traditionally heads the Committee on Rules.

Romualdez, Leyte 1st district congressman, is the House Speaker of the 19th Congress.

Referring to Marcos, Nograles said "he really deserves the title of being the senior deputy majority leader".

" Marcos has been helpful on the floor with everyone especially the neophytes trying to get familiar with the rules and the parliamentary process," the lady solon said.

The National Expenditure Program (NEP)--the precursor of the General Appropriations Bill (GAB) or proposed national budget--will be transmitted to the House of Representatives on Monday, Aug. 22.
