Karltzy flexes deadly form as ECHO overpowers Bren

ECHO just banked on its veteran experience and overpowered the young guns of Bren Esports, 2-0, in the MPL Philippines Season 10 at the ICITE Auditorium in Libis, Quezon City, Friday, Aug. 19.

Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno showed who’s the boss as he starred in the clean sweep while also getting ample contributions from his supporting cast to list their second win through the same number of games.

ECHO slowly pulled away in the opening game of the series as a double-kill from Karltzy near the turtle pit allowed the Orcas to score a three-man wipe of Bren. The activity of Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya around the map using his signature Benedetta pick also created problems for Bren as the relentless lane pressure allowed ECHO’s core heroes to snowball and complete their items.

ECHO went on a rampage from there and as the dust settled, the crew dubbed as the "Super Team" already bagged the first point of the series in a dominant 17-5 Game 1 win.

Karltzy led the charge with a 8-0-4 KDA while Benedict “BennyQt” Gonzales had a perfect line as well with 5-0-6 KDA.

Game 2 was a different story as Bren threw its own punches and even took the lead against ECHO. A disastrous Lord fight at the 18th-minute mark, however, spelled doom for Bren as it got punished by ECHO’s contest, scoring a four-man wipe of the young bloods from the M2 World Champions.

With Pandora the lone defender for Bren, ECHO went for a one-lane death push to close out the series, 14-10.
