It has been two years already but fans still remember and vividly so the alleged affront that former Miss Manila Alexandra Abdon heaped on Herlene Budol on “Wowowin.”
Then, Alexandra maintained Herlene doesn’t have what it takes to be a beauty queen.
She said, “Kahit magpa-pageant ang nanay ni Hipon sa bahay nila, hindi siya qualified.”
The whole issue has been revived anew after Herlene earned a 1st runner-up finish at this year’s Bb. Pilipinas tilt.
Seemingly eager to fan the flames is Karen Davila who asked Herlene about it for her vlog.
Herlene maintained, “Wala naman po akong sama ng loob sa kanya... nagkaayos na po kami. Two years ago na po yung isyu na iyon, parang binabalik-balikan pa po nila.”
She admitted to getting hurt with what Alexandra said.
“Sinabi niya po na scripted, pero sa part ko po kasi, hindi ako nasabihan na scripted, e. Nasaktan po ako, siyempre.” But having proved Alexandra wrong, she said, “Siguro Diyos na rin yung nagplano ng buhay ko kaya siguro dinala ako dito. Siguro para lang din po ma-realize ng ibang tao na kung sino yung ibinababa, itinataas ng Panginoon.”
