Parañaque already implementing NCAP since 2018 -- Mayor Olivarez

Paranaque City was the pioneer in implementing the No Contact Apprehension Program (NCAP) since 2018 to help address the traffic problem in the city, particularly along Sucat Road.

Mayor Eric Olivarez was among the five Metro Manila mayors who signed the joint statement on their united stance to implement the NCAP despite the petitions filed with the Supreme Court by several groups to declare the NCAP as unconstitutional.

The NCAP was implemented in the city during the administration of former mayor, and now Parañaque 1st District Rep. Edwin Olivarez.

The Parañaque NCAP uses high-definition cameras that immediately detect traffic violations committed by motorists and even pedestrians.

Motorists using Sucat Road have complied with the strict enforcement of traffic rules to improve and decongest traffic with the installation of high definition cameras in major intersections.

The joint statement of the five Metro Manila mayors was posted at the Facebook page of the Public Information Office (PIO) to remind motorists that the city government will continue the implementation of NCAP.
