Tiffany and Co. reimagines padlock motif into a gender-neutral jewelry collection

Its 1950s heritage motif gets a new look

The line between gender continues to blur in today’s fashion scene. The latest to do that is luxury jeweler Tiffany and Co. as it unveils its latest collection dedicated to him, her, and them.

Dubbed the “Tiffany Lock,” the collection reimagines one of the New York-based jewelry brand’s archival motifs—the padlocks—and features a line of bracelets that “embodies the personal bonds that bring us together and make us who we are.”

This is the first time the luxury brand is launching a gender-neutral line with a “No rules. All welcome” ethos at its core. Designed to become symbols of togetherness and inclusivity, the bracelets come in combinations of white gold, yellow gold, rose gold, and pavé diamonds and present an innovative swivel mechanism. 

“Tiffany Lock is an elegant interpretation of an archival functional design,” said Tiffany and Co. executive Alexandre Arnault. “Defined by modern, clean lines and a breakthrough clasp mechanism, Tiffany Lock represents an exciting new pillar to our diamond and gold jewelry offering. We are thrilled to unveil our latest icon.”
