Bulacan police are tracking down the killer or killers of 15-year-old Princess Marie Dumantay whose body was found in grassy area of bypass road in Barangay Bonga Menor, Bustos, Bulacan last Friday, Aug. 12, a few days after she went missing.
Princess Marie’s body was claimed last Sunday by her father, Rolando Aguilar Dumantay, a traffic enforcer and resident of City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM).
The girl’s body bore traces of cruelty on her body such as cigarette burns, according to the police.
On Monday, Aug. 15, a Bustos police team led by Lt. Maurice M. Cruz Jr. proceeded to Fairview in Quezon City to conduct a follow-up investigation. They coordinated with Police Station 16.
The team learned from the victim’s friend named Joshua that two weeks ago he met up with Princess Marie along with other bikers at Neopolitan Subdivision in Quezon City.
Joshua told police that he fetched Princess last Aug. 10 at about 5:00 p.m. She boarded his bike and he later dropped her at Commonwealth Hospital.
Around 8:00 p.m. on the same day, the victim texted Joshua and they played an online game at about 10:00 p.m.
He said he was chatting with Princess Marie while playing the online game, but she did not reply to him when he sent her messages at 10:54 p.m..
Since then, he heard no more about the victim until the news about the discovery of Princess Marie’s body in Bustos, Bulacan, went viral on social media.
Police probers learned that Princess Marie was a regular biker at the Neopolitan Subdivision Business Park. She was reportedly frequently seen boarding a black Toyota Wigo owned by a man who was also regularly seen in the area.
The Bulacan police team coordinated with Land Transportation (LTO) in San Rafael, Bulacan, where they verified that the Toyota Wigo was registered to a resident of Pamplona, Camarines Sur.
As of this writing, the investigators of the Bulacan PNP were checking the footages of security cameras in Manila and Bulacan to determine if the said vehicle had entered the province.
