Mayor Emi's birthday gift to Pasay City's women: Free mammogram, Pap smear

The Pasay City local government is offering free mammogram and Pap smear services to all female city residents as part of Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano’s gift to her constituents on her birthday on Tuesday, Aug. 16.

Rubiano said the free mammogram and Pap smear offer is being conducted in partnership with the Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH).

Mammogram is an X-ray picture of the breast which doctors use to look for early signs of breast cancer.

Rubiano said health is the best birthday present that she can give to all women in the city by offering them free mammogram and Pap smear.

She said women in the city who want to undergo mammogram test and Pap smear should visit the Mayor’s Office from Monday to Friday at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for their schedule.

The mayor said women aged 40 and above, who have been fully vaccinated, and 10 days after their menstruation, are invited to undergo a mammogram test.

Rubiano said the Pap smear offer is for women aged 21-50 years old. Those who would like to avail of this must be fully vaccinated.
