House Speaker Martin Romualdez couldn't help but give due props to his nephew, Ilocos Norte 1st district Rep. Sandro Marcos, who according to the former's Facebook post has been very hardworking despite being a neophyte solon.
Romualdez's post Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 16came with a photo of him looking at a monitor with Rep. Marcos in it, while the Ilocano was dispensing his duties as senior deputy majority leader.
"Nakakabilib ang sipag ng ating senior deputy majority leader. Hindi nagkamali kaming mga kasama niya dito sa House of Representatives sa pag-elect sa kanya (The diligence shown by our senior deputy majority leader is impressive. We, his colleagues in the House of Representatives didn't make a mistake in electing him)," the House leader said.
"First to arrive and last to depart from the session hall, Monday to Wednesday. Saludo kami sa iyo (We salute you), Rep. #SandroMarcos!" added Romualdez.
Romualdez is the cousin of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. This makes him the uncle of the Rep. Marcos, the latter's son.
Earlier Tuesday, Majority Leader and Zamboanga City 2nd district Rep. Mannix Dalipe aired a similar view on Rep. Marcos's work ethic.
